Are you fed up and frustrated with loose, saggy skin? Do you want a non-surgical way to give your face a natural-looking lift without going under the knife? Thread Lift could be the answer.

The Little Lift You Need

The ageing process is, sadly, unavoidable. Over time, our skin in the face and neck naturally loses the fullness and elasticity of our youth and becomes loose and saggy. Wrinkles and fine lines also set in, marking the passage of time.
A Thread Lift is a popular solution for elevating sunken facial contours and renewing a youthful glow. It is a safe, minimally invasive procedure that serves as an excellent alternative to a facelift and can be performed in less than one hour.

Before & After Results

What Can Thread Lift Do For You?

Thread lifting, otherwise known as a ‘non-surgical facelift’ is fast becoming a preferred treatment by our patients due to its effectiveness and non-invasive nature. It is a minimally invasive, rejuvenating treatment that uses specialised surgical threads to lift and regenerate sagging skin on the mid-face, jowls and neck, giving a tighter, more youthful appearance.

An Instant Lift

Our Thread lift treatment repositions and supports sagging skin caused by ageing using PDO mechanical threads.

Reduces Wrinkles And Fine Lines

The collagen production induced by thread lifting can help repair and hydrate the skin to minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Improves Skin Textures

Patients at Lumière Cosmetic Clinic usually see a noticeable tightening and lifting effect immediately after the PDO Thread Lift procedure.

Improves Skin Laxity

The breakdown of collagen and elastin in skin is often what causes a reduction in skin laxity, but thread lifting works as a skin-lifting treatment to restore plumpness and make your face look fuller and more youthful.

It’s Minimally Invasive

Unlike facelift surgery and other invasive cosmetic surgeries that help you look younger, thread lifting is a minimally invasive procedure that requires no incisions or scarring.

Produces Long-Lasting Results

Injectables and dermal fillers usually only produce results that last several months to a year, but thread lifting produces results that can last up to three years or longer.

What Areas Can Be Treated With Thread Lifts?

What makes Thread Lifts a great facial treatment is how effective and versatile it is.

Is A Thread Lift
Right For You?

You Are A Suitable Candidate If:

How Does it Work

The thread lift works in this really fascinating way that is two-fold. The threads that are inserted just below the surface of the skin actually lift and reposition your skin with tiny barbs that are on them, picture tiny hands holding up your skin.
The thread lifts then stimulate the natural production of collagen in your body. Because the threads are something foreign that your body doesn’t recognize, your body automatically kick starts its wound healing response, which stimulates the production of collagen.
Thread lifts can be used to treat any part of the face, including the forehead, cheeks, jowls, eyebrows, jawline and neck. The treatment is ideal for patients aged 30 to 50 who are experiencing mild to moderate signs of loose skin.
A thread lift is a quick, effective and pain-free treatment that delivers immediate results.

Cost of Procedure

An individual consultation is required to determine the precise price. Patients can expect upfront pricing with no hidden fees. Once our doctor has determined what procedure(s) is right for you, we’ll customise a price estimate based on your individual needs. Estimates include all internal fees (surgeon’s fee, facility fees, anaesthesia, and routine follow-up visits). Your patient care coordinator will be able to provide you with in-depth information regarding your upcoming procedure.

*Eligibility will be determined during the initial consultation, only limited spots are available.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are PDO threads?
PDO, or polydioxanone, is a biocompatible product commonly used in surgical sutures. PDO does not remain permanently in the skin and will be reabsorbed over about 6 to 9 months. PDO is broken down in the body ultimately ending up as water and carbon dioxide.
What can Thread Lift do for me?

A Thread Lift treatment can help improve skin quality (smooths and rejuvenates) and tighten sagging skin on the face, neck and body (arms, abdomen and buttocks). Depending on what we want to achieve, we will use monos, cogs or combinations of threads.

As a general rule, mono threads are suitable for younger patients who are not yet sagging and want to maintain their skin quality. We may also use mono threads to help tighten the skin in some areas or to prepare the skin to receive cog threads in older patients.

Cog threads are generally suitable once there are signs of sagging skin, such as the jowls, for patients from their 30s onwards.

What are the advantages of a Thread Lift?

The great thing about a thread lift is that it offers quick recovery together with excellent results.  This procedure requires a minimum amount of invasive surgery and leaves no scarring.  Local anaesthetic is all that is required and there is no hospital stay required.  Another good factor about the thread lift is that it is much more affordable than a regular face lift and the results are long lasting.  If you are looking for a quick and effective solution to a range of aging problems then a thread lift is the perfect solution.

What happens after the procedure?
Once the procedure is complete you will be provided with aftercare instructions to follow. These will help to relieve any discomfort and help to speed up the process of healing. For the first 24-48 hours you can use ice compresses to deal with any swelling and help to alleviate discomfort. Most patients experience some mild swelling and bruises, but these are usually quick to settle. Recovery times are usually less than one week although strenuous exercise should be avoided for between 2 and 3 weeks.
Who is suitable for treatment?
Many people are able to enjoy the fantastic benefits of a thread lift, however we’ll book you in for a consultation before any treatment to ensure you’re suitable. Thread lifts aren’t advised for those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, those with an infection of history of autoimmune disease, and those who are under 18. If you’ve had an allergic reaction to any of the ingredients and components of the silhouette soft treatment, we also don’t advise treatment.
Can PDO threads be used in combination with other treatments?
Absolutely! Great results can be achieved by combining PDO threads with PRP and other cosmetic treatments including anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers.
Does a thread lift hurt?
The procedure itself is minimally invasive and does cause micro-injuries to layers within the skin. As such, patients are given a local anaesthetic before their treatment which will ensure that they remain comfortable and relaxed throughout.
What are the risks?
No surgical procedure is without risk, but the level of risk is often down to the expertise and experience of the surgeon carrying out your procedure. Thread lifts can cause minor side effects such as infection, bruising, swelling, tenderness, numbness and slight asymmetry. All side effects should be explained in detail to you before the procedure is booked. As long as your doctor is competent, any side effects should disappear within a few days. Another great factor of thread lifts is that they can be reversed if you are not happy or if problems occur.
